Biography
Joël F. Pothier is a research fellow in the Environmental Genomics and Systems Biology Research Group at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), Wädenswil (CH). After obtaining his doctoral degree in microbial ecology in Lyon (FR), he moved to Switzerland to perform his post-doctoral research. His work is mainly focused on the better understanding of bacteria associated with plants. He is using molecular biological techniques to decode processes in living organisms, identify the function of the genes and their expression in these organisms. In this constantly evolving field, he generates, manages, mines, visualises and analyses multiple biological data. With more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, he will share his experience on the importance in his field of including information to access the data related to the reported findings.
