UNIL’S Open Science Strategy & Action Plan
Biography
Trained as a chemical engineer, I obtained my Doctorate of Science at the EPFL in 2011. I then continued my postdoctoral research in the fields of heterogeneous catalysis and artificial photosynthesis in Lausanne and at the University of Cambridge in the UK, adding ten years of research and scientific publishing experience. Following my return to Switzerland, I became interested in university administration and particularly in the support of research and its valorisation. Since 2017 I am Deputy Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Lausanne in charge of the implementation of an Open Access Strategy and Directive and the related services. My position is at the interface between project and change management, science policy and direct support to researchers. It is an exciting and complex project because the University of Lausanne is a multidisciplinary institution with many scientific disciplines. I am working in close collaboration with various actors at the University, including my colleagues in the Information Resources and Archives Department, with whom we have developed the Open Science Strategy, which brings together the Open Access and Open Research Data components.
