SWISSUbase is a research data service that provides a technical environment and services for the management of research projects and the archiving, dissemination, and promotion of research data and metadata. It is currently developed in close collaboration between the Swiss centre of expertise in social sciences FORS and the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne. SWISSUbase takes FORSbase (forsbase.unil.ch), the well-established data service for the social sciences, to the next level. As a result, SWISSUbase will offer to the universities in Switzerland a comprehensive, trustworthy and certified solution to manage and preserve research data from all scientific disciplines. The data service is connected and interoperable on the European level (ERICs, EOSC, etc.) and the national level (SNSF P3). SWISSUbase fulfils the FAIR data principles and is compliant with international data and metadata standards. For further information see swissubase.ch. SWISSUbase will be launched in January 2021. The Swiss Research Data Day would be the perfect platform for the first public presentation of the main features of SWISSUbase. We suggest to demonstrate the platform and the catalogue, as well as the basic workflow for the deposit of data by the data producer, the review and archiving workflow of the archiving unit and the download part for data users. All we would need for the demonstration is a beamer.
